At Streakin Iron we do things differently.  Since I like to start kids out bareback, milestones are very
important for them.  Below are the milestones I set for my students.  Upon reaching the next level students
are given a certificate of accomplishment.  Please note, I do have older students, and so the term 'kid' is
used loosely.  :-)

Walkin' Iron Kids:

Students that are walking consistently, either on the lunge line or not, that are learning how to trot- these
will mostly be my youngest students.  In order to advance to the next level, the child will have to
demonstrate control of their horse at the walk, in both directions and be beginning to sit the trot.  My
current Walkin' Iron Kids can be seen,
HERE.

Trottin' Iron Kids:

Students that are learning to trot. In order to advance they will have to show mastery of trotting in both
directions with no break of gait.   These kids will also earn a saddle upon advancement from this level.
Current Trottin' Iron Kids can be seen,
HERE.

Lopin' Iron Kids:

Students that have mastered the trot and are ready to move on to the funnest of all fun gaits, the lope.
Also in this category will be beginners to barrel racing or playday events.  We'll keep you updated on their
progress

Streakin' Iron Kids:

Students that are actively out and competing at a high level of competition.  We will keep you updated on
their progress and WINS!,
